Here is my workflow for using AI to help plan which talks and posters to attend at a conference. See the prompt I used for SfN 2026. LLMs are great at identifying abstracts relevant to specific keywords. Different keywords could yield quite different results, so I recommend trying a few different sets of keywords.

  1. Obtain the abstracts. Collect them from a program book, or have an AI agent use a browser to extract them from the conference website.
  2. Create a shortlist. Ask the AI agent to filter the abstracts according to my interests and selection criteria.

  3. Make the final selections manually. Review the shortlist and choose the presentations I want to attend.

  4. Build the schedule. Add the selected presentations to my calendar or the conference planner.
